Issue(s)

An expected alert is absent, or an alert remains active after the visible condition changed.

Environment

  • You can inspect the alert rule, Active Alerts, and Alert History.

Cause(s)

  • The rule may be disabled, outside its schedule, or scoped to another channel or queue.
  • The measured condition may not have crossed the saved threshold.
  • The current dashboard and alert evaluation may refer to different update times.

Diagnostic

  1. Open Alert Rules and check status, schedule, scope, threshold, and check interval.
  2. Compare the actual metric and time with the rule criteria.
  3. Check Active Alerts and Alert History, including Chronological and Paired views, for a trigger or recovery event.
  4. If unexplained, give support the rule name, observed metric, time, and expected trigger or recovery.
Note: Check the scope

Do not change a rule solely to force an expected alert; first confirm its original criteria and data window.
