Objective

Set a recurring schedule that regenerates demand using rolling training and forecast windows.

Environment

  • You have permission to manage forecasts.
  • The forecast was generated from historical data and has at least one completed baseline run. Uploaded forecasts cannot be reforecasted.

Resolution

  1. Open the generated forecast and select Reforecast. In Automatic schedule, select Schedule automatic runs. If a schedule already exists, select Edit.
  2. In Run mode, select Run automatically. Choose a Frequency and Run time. The run time uses the forecast's timezone; confirm the timezone in the saved schedule details.
The Create Reforecast dialog with automatic scheduling selected. Review the frequency, run time, coverage options, date ranges, backlog settings, and period timeline before saving.
  3. Set the Historical training range and Forecast regeneration range. Review the period timeline and resolve any range warnings before saving.
    Note: Minimum date windows

Daily: 28 training days and a 7-day horizon. Every 3 days: 42 training days and a 10-day horizon. Weekly: 56 training days and a 14-day horizon.

  4. Choose whether scheduled runs should Calculate required coverage and Publish coverage automatically. Automatic publishing is available when calculation is on.
    Important: Automatic publishing changes coverage

When enabled, each run writes required coverage over the baseline for its queue, channel, and time window. Leave it off if your team needs to review coverage before publishing.

  5. Check the baseline queue and channel scope under Inherited settings. For backlog, choose statuses, a cleanup target, and a capacity schedule. Each run uses the latest version of that schedule; uncovered days have zero capacity.
  6. Select Save Schedule. Confirm the frequency, run time, timezone, windows, and next run in Automatic schedule. Use Edit to change it or Disable to pause future runs.

The schedule rolls the training and forecast windows forward for each run. To create a one-time reforecast instead, see How To Run A One-Time Reforecast. To inspect upcoming and completed runs, see How To Review Reforecast Run History.
