Objective
Build clear, balanced scored criteria in a scorecard draft.
Before you begin
You need Quality: Manage and an open draft in QA Settings · Scorecards. Published versions are read-only; choose Edit as new draft to change a published scorecard.
Resolution
- Add a weighted group. In the scorecard editor, add a group and set its mode to Weighted. Name the group for a coherent part of the evaluation, such as accuracy or communication.
A weighted group holds related criteria and receives a share of the scorecard total. Group settings let you name it, describe its purpose, and set its allocation. - Add criteria. Add a criterion directly or use Add from library to copy a reusable criterion from QA Settings · Criteria. Give each criterion a specific name, description, and evidence expectations.
The criterion editor collects the grading target, scoring scale, pass and fail standards, not-applicable guidance, weight, and enabled status. - Choose a grading scale. Use pass/fail or a named three-, four-, or five-point scale. For a multi-point scale, describe what each level means so the evaluator can apply it consistently. Add not-applicable guidance when some conversations legitimately cannot meet the check.
- Set the weights. Give each enabled weighted group a percentage of the whole scorecard. Within a group, set criterion weights to allocate that group's percentage points. The editor shows group and scorecard totals; enabled weighted groups must total 100% to publish.
- Review disabled and N/A behavior. A disabled criterion stays in the draft but carries no weight. When an evaluated criterion is N/A, it is excluded and the remaining applicable weights are renormalized for that evaluation.
- Check validation before publishing. Correct any missing standards, invalid scales, or unbalanced totals shown by the editor. Wait for the draft's saved state before opening Publish.
Critical checks and unscored insights are separate group modes. See How Critical Checks And Unscored Insights Work.
