Objective

Use Schedule Validations to check a saved schedule, review results, and manage outstanding findings.

Environment

  • You have access to Scheduling and a saved schedule version to review.
  • Scheduling rules or compliance jurisdictions are configured for the checks you expect to run.

Resolution

  1. Open Workforce Operations → Scheduling and select the schedule. Save any pending planner changes before validating the version.
  2. Select Validations in the schedule toolbar. Validation runs lists checks recorded for this version; Current findings shows outstanding findings and approved request conflicts.
  3. Select New validation. Leave the dates, team, and people at the full-schedule defaults, or narrow the check with Dates, Team, and People. Review the scope summary, then select Run validation.
The New validation dialog checks the full schedule by default. Set dates, team, or people to narrow the run.
  4. Open the new entry under Validation runs. Read its outcome and status, the scope and evaluated count, and the error and warning totals. A failed or still-running check is not a clean result.
Open a run to review its outcome, scope, evaluated schedule, and findings. Names in this example are anonymized.
Important: Check the scope before relying on a clean result

A run limited to selected dates or people does not validate the rest of the schedule.

  5. Review each finding's severity, affected person and date, and rule or explanation. Use the finding filters when there are many results. Open Current findings to see what still needs attention across runs; acknowledged findings remain visible in their recorded run.
  6. Correct schedule items or rule settings where needed, save the schedule, and run validation again for the relevant scope. Review the new run before deciding whether the schedule is ready to publish.
