Objective
Publish a scorecard version and connect it to the service categories that should use it for QA.
Before you begin
You need Quality: Manage, a scorecard draft that passes validation, and at least one enabled service category for an active QA workflow. You can publish without assigning a category, but that scorecard stays inactive for category evaluations until you assign one.
Resolution
- Open the draft. Go to QA Settings · Scorecards and open the scorecard. Confirm the draft has saved and that the validation summary shows no blocking content issues.
- Review category fit. In Categories, confirm the intended category describes the work this standard will judge. A category can have one assigned scorecard at a time.
- Publish the version. Select Publish in the editor. Review any content or category attachment warnings. The dialog shows the next version number and the categories that can be activated.
- Select categories. Choose the enabled categories that should use this version, then select Publish and activate. Publishing freezes the draft; the version cannot be edited afterward. If you publish with no category selected, assign one later.
The Edit categories dialog shows which service categories are assigned to a scorecard. Saving transfers a category from another scorecard if needed. - Verify the assignment. Open the category from Categories and select QA Analysis. Confirm the scorecard name and active published version are shown. A quality manager can also connect a published scorecard from this tab; changing an existing assignment requires confirmation.
- Set the evaluation policy. In the same category tab, configure eligibility, coverage, and timing under Automated QA. An assigned published scorecard is required before you can enable automated evaluations. Follow How To Configure Automated QA For A Category for those settings.
For later edits, open a new draft and publish another version. Existing published versions remain in version history.
