How AI Usage Billing Works With BYOK

AI usage is separate from your subscription

Charges for AI usage are separate from ZenOps product subscriptions. Your organization can use OpenAI access provided through ZenOps or bring its own OpenAI API key, often called BYOK.

Compare the billing options

• OpenAI through ZenOps: ZenOps provides the OpenAI connection. The pricing page describes a 5% markup on AI usage for this option.
• Bring your own key (BYOK): Connect an API key from your organization's OpenAI project. OpenAI usage and billing are managed through that OpenAI account.

Before choosing BYOK

Ask your workspace administrator which OpenAI option is configured for your organization. If you use BYOK, make sure the API key belongs to an OpenAI project your organization manages and follow your organization's key-handling rules. Do not include an API key in a support request.
