# How To Plan A Rollout For Planners, Managers, And Agents

## Objective

Introduce ZenOps WFM in manageable stages so administrators can prepare the workspace, planners and managers can validate the workflow, and agents know where to find their work.

## Environment

- An administrator can coordinate workspace setup and review roles and permissions.
- A planner or manager can access the WFM area used for the pilot.
- The rollout team has chosen a pilot group, a planning period, and the first outcome to measure.
- If agents will use My Schedule, their accounts and workforce profiles are ready to access a published schedule.

Use [the setup data and access checklist](/help/articles/what-data-and-access-you-need-before-setup/) to identify the inputs that apply to your chosen workflow. Confirm that each person has the access they need; [roles and permissions in ZenOps WFM](/help/articles/roles-and-access-in-zenops-wfm/) describes how role and feature permissions work together.

## Resolution

1. **Set owners and pilot scope.** Name an administrator for setup, a planner or manager for the workflow, one team or agent group, a planning period, and a clear outcome.
2. **Prepare the workspace for that outcome.** Configure only the people, teams, queues, channels, forecast inputs, and scheduling settings needed for the pilot. Connect Zendesk when the selected workflow depends on synchronized history or live Zendesk activity. The required inputs vary by workflow.
3. **Run the planning workflow with the pilot owners.** Create or review a forecast if demand planning is part of the pilot, then use it to inform a schedule when appropriate. See [How Forecasts Become Schedules](/help/articles/how-forecasts-become-schedules/).
4. **Validate access and the handoff.** Review schedule dates, shifts, activities, and validations. Publish the schedule and confirm agents have WFM access and linked profiles. See [How To Review An Existing Schedule](/help/articles/review-an-existing-schedule/).
5. **Introduce the agent view.** Explain where agents can find their published schedule and which team process they should follow for questions or changes. Share [how to view a schedule in My Schedule](/help/articles/view-your-schedule/).
6. **Review the pilot before expanding.** Ask planners, managers, and agents what blocked or helped their work. Resolve data, access, or process gaps, then add teams or workflows in stages so each expansion can be checked.

## Notes on this article

### Note: Publish after planner review

After step 3 in resolution. A forecast can inform schedule generation, but a planner must review the draft before publishing it for agents.
