# How To Connect Zendesk

## Objective

Authorize the Zendesk account your workspace uses so ZenOps WFM can synchronize support data for workforce planning.

## Environment

- You are a ZenOps administrator with access to **Integrations**.
- You know your Zendesk subdomain, the part before `.zendesk.com` in your Zendesk address.
- You can approve the connection in the Zendesk account you intend to connect.

## Resolution

1. In the ZenOps sidebar, open **Integrations**. If Zendesk is already listed, select **Manage** on its row. Otherwise, select **Add Integration**, then **Zendesk**.
2. In **Zendesk Integration**, check **Zendesk Subdomain**. For a new connection, enter only the subdomain and select **Save Subdomain**. For example, if your Zendesk address is `company.zendesk.com`, enter `company`.
3. If the page already shows **OAuth connection active**, continue to the next step. Otherwise, select **Connect with Zendesk** and complete the authorization shown by Zendesk. When you return to ZenOps, check for **Zendesk OAuth connection successful!** and **OAuth connection active**.
4. In **Zendesk Data Sync**, select **Sync Zendesk Data** to bring in the initial Zendesk data. Wait for the result message, then use [How To Verify That Workforce Data Is Syncing](/help/articles/verify-that-workforce-data-is-syncing/) to confirm the saved sync time and representative records.

If the connection or sync reports an error, follow [Resolve A Zendesk Data Sync Problem](/help/articles/resolve-a-zendesk-data-sync-problem/).

## Notes on this article

### Note: Connection is not a sync

After step 3 in resolution. OAuth connection active confirms authorization. Run Zendesk Data Sync to bring workforce data into WFM.
