# How To Configure Compliance Jurisdictions

## Objective

Associate a country or region with the scheduling rule set your organization has selected for it.

## Environment

- You have permission to manage **Scheduling Settings**.
- The rule set you intend to associate is already available in your workspace. If it is missing, see [How To Use The Scheduling Rules Library](/help/articles/use-scheduling-rules-library/).
- Your organization has reviewed which rule set should be associated with the jurisdiction.

## Resolution

1. Open **Scheduling Settings** → **Scheduling Rules** and review the **Compliance Jurisdictions** table.
2. Select **New Jurisdiction** or edit an existing row. Enter a **Name**, choose the **Country**, and add a **Region** if needed.
3. Choose the **Rule set** to associate with this jurisdiction. The selector contains rule sets already available in your workspace.
4. Add optional **Provenance notes** to record the source or review context. Set the jurisdiction to **Active** only when your organization is ready to use this association.
5. Select **Save Changes** and confirm the jurisdiction row shows the intended country, rule set, source, and status.

For details on reviewing a rule set’s rules and outcomes, see [How To Configure Scheduling Rules](/help/articles/configure-scheduling-rules/).

## Notes on this article

### Important: Compliance review stays with your organization

After step 4 in resolution. A jurisdiction record is a planning association. It does not determine which laws apply or replace your organization’s HR or legal review.
